Office Depot sees opening Downtown
File Downtown's newest retailer under the categories of obvious and needed. Office Depot, an office supply chain with seven locations in the region, has signed a lease to open a 19,000-square-foot location on Smithfield Street in November. The store will replace a Barnes & Noble Booksellers that closed in late February, and will join Burlington Coat Factory and a handful of other retailers in Heinz 57 Center, owned by Oakland-based McKnight Development Corp.

Corner Bakery Cafe has leases floor of 3 Park Central
Corner Bakery Cafe has leased the 13th floor of 3 Park Central at 12700 Park Central Drive. The restaurant chain also is putting in a 2,000-square-foot test kitchen on the first floor of the 516,200-square-foot building. Kathy Permenter and Burson Holman with Grubb & Ellis Co represented the property owner, McKnight Development. Brant Bernet and Carine Rappaport with Trammell Crow Co. represented Corner Bakery.

Safe and Healthy Communities - Heinz 57 Center, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
